On October 26^th, 2019, President Song Chunpeng and Vice President Yang Zhonghua of Henan University held a meeting with President Chryssi Vitsilakis of Aegean University and then jointly attended the 2^nd Henan Talents Recruitment Innovation and Development Conference and Local High Level University Construction and Development Forum in Zhengzhou.

At the signing ceremony of the High-Level Cooperation Projects on the Forum, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Henan University and Aegean University was signed.

Signing of MOU is a supplement to the original framework cooperation agreement between the two universities. It aims at strengthening cooperation in academic exchanges between the two universities under the Belt and Road Initiative, at comparative studying of Yellow River civilization and Greek civilization, as well as at joint establishment of a Confucius Institute or a Confucius classroom.
