Warmly Welcome!
I will discuss recent two rigidity results for Allen-Cahn equation: the Half Space Theorem in R^2 and R^3, and stability of Cabre-Terra saddle solutions in R^8, R^{10} and R^{12}.
Wei Juncheng obtained his bachelor degree from Wuhan University and then went to America to study for PhD on a national scholarship, ending up acquiring his doctorate from University of Minnesota System. He is now serving as a Canada Research Chair in University of British Columbia. His main research areas are nonlinear partial differential equation, condensation and explosion and mathematical biology. In 2005, he won Outstanding Researcher Award presented by Croucher Foundation. In 2009, he was awarded with national science fund for distinguished young scholars (B-Level). He also won a silver medal in International Congress of Chinese Mathematicians and was honored with the first prize of natural sciences of Chinese ministry of education in 2010. Four years later, he was invited to give a 45-minute report in 27th International Congress of Mathematicians and awarded as a Changjiang Chair Professor by Chinese ministry of education. In 2019, he was selected as fellow of the Academy of Science of the Royal Society of Canada. In 2020, he won Jeffery-Williams Award presented by Canadian Mathematical Society.
