From October 27 to 31, the 8th Symposium on Chiral Effective Field Theory was held in Kaifeng.

At the Symposium, Professor Yuchen Miao, vice president of Henan University (HENU), extended a warm welcome to the experts, scholars, leaders and friends from all walks of life and introduced the history and basic situation of HENU. He expressed that the Symposium was a grand event in the field of chiral effective field theory research in China, which was expected to be a platform for relevant personnel to share academic results and discuss related research.

As the chairman of the Symposium, Professor Lisheng Geng from Beihang University introduced the background of the Symposium. He said that such a symposium was established with an aim to promote exchanges among domestic personnel engaged in chiral effective field theory and related research and enhance substantive cooperation among peers in developing new research at home and abroad, helping figure out cutting-edge issues in this field.

The Symposium was attended by more than 130 people, including front-line scientists, well-known experts and graduate students from more than 40 universities and research institutions in China, with a total of 35 reports arranged. At the Symposium, representatives shared the latest research results of related interdisciplinary subjects in recent years, which strengthened academic exchanges and promoted independent innovation.
