On October 12, the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Education Discipline of Henan University & the Innovation and Development Conference was held in the auditorium of Minglun Campus. The Conference invited guests, alumni, teacher and student representatives from all over the country to attend.

The Conference was also attended by Hongbin Yin, deputy secretary of the Education Working Committee of Henan Provincial Party Committee, Ge Guo, chairman of the Education Branch of the Chinese Society of Education, Lide Liu, vice chairman and secretary-general of the Education Branch of the Chinese Society of Education, Jianjun Feng, chief expert of education discipline at HENU, representatives from brother universities and institutions and the alumni representative. The participants also included Keping Lu, secretary of the Party Committee of HENU, Shaokang Xu, Junjian Sun, and Yuchen Miao, vice presidents of HENU. The Conference was chaired by Jiandong Cai, executive deputy secretary of the Faculty of Education, HENU.

At the Conference, Zhijun Liu pointed out that the discipline of Education in HENU has developed for a century and strives to be the first-class discipline with Chinese characteristics, contributing to the strategy of strengthening the country and the province through education.

Hongbin Yin summarized the century-old development of the discipline of Education in HENU. He pointed out that the discipline of Education in HENU provided important support for the reform and innovation of education in Henan and contributed a lot to the inheritance and innovation of the Central Plains culture.

More than 50 brother units at home and abroad, including the Chinese Society of Education, the China National Academy of Educational Sciences, and the Institute of Education of Tsinghua University, expressed their heartfelt congratulations to HENU on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the education discipline through letters.

Chong'an Li, the former vice governor of Gansu Province, told the story of the life and work of Mr. Bingde Li at HENU through a video. Chong'an Li expressed his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the 100th anniversary of the discipline of Education in HENU, inspiring the new generation to cherish the learning opportunities and keep working hard.

The representatives of alumni, teachers and students spoke successively, wishing the discipline of Education in HENU prosperity. They hoped that HENU could seize every opportunity to develop its the discipline of Education better.

Keping Lu expressed his wishes that the Faculty of Education would take the 100th anniversary of the founding of the education discipline as an opportunity to inherit the century-old fine tradition of HENU, continuously improve the scientific research innovation system and talent training system, strive to improve the overall strength, and accelerate the leap-forward high-quality development of the discipline of Education in HENU.
