On the afternoon of June 7, the appointment ceremony for deans was held in Youlan Complex in Zhengzhou Campus for deans of the School of Physics and Electronics, the School of Future Technology, the College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences, and the International Business School. Participants in the meeting were President Suojiang Zhang, Vice President Zhen Tan, Vice President Shaokang Xu, and heads from relevant functional departments and colleges.

At the ceremony, Zhen Tan announced new appointment. Professor Hongxing Xu, academician of the Chinese Academy of Science, was appointed as the Honorary Dean of the School of Physics and Electronics and the School of Future Technology; Professor Yongming Chen as the Dean of the College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences; Professor Chuntao Li, a well-known expert in finance, as the Executive Dean of the International Business School.

Academician Hongxing Xu expressed that it is a great honor to join HENU. He pointed out that he would lead the two Schools to explore and innovate in the future to reach great achievements in talent training, scientific research, social services, and cultural inheritance.

Suojiang Zhang expressed a warm welcome to the three deans joining HENU. He introduced the development plan of HENU in the near future to the three deans and expressed that he wishes the three deans would join the big family of HENU as soon as possible and lead the schools to reach greater achievements.
