The Yellow River Civilization Exploration Course is a bilingual general education elective course offered by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Department of the University. On the morning of May 13, teachers and students of the Yellow River Civilization Exploration Course visited Kaifeng Museum to carry out cultural practice. Eight international students from Tunisia, Uganda, India and Vietnam also participated in the event.
The students visited the Exhibition Hall of Along the River During the Qingming Festival - a famous Chinese painting, and the Exhibition Hall of Reminiscences of the Eastern Capital, where Kaifeng’s history in the Song Dynasty was presented. They discussed stories and backgrounds behind the cultural relics. Through the practice, Chinese students expressed that they learned a lot from this activity and the international students commented that this visit offered them a deeper understanding of Kaifeng, Chinese history and Chinese traditional culture.
