On February 21, the opening ceremony of the Spring Exhibition of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute & the unveiling ceremony of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute was held at the School of Fine Arts.

The ceremony was attended by Keping Lu, secretary of the Party Committee, Mingqin Wang, director of the Propaganda Department, Qiang Pei, director of the Office of the Party Committee, Zhenqian Zhao, dean of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute, Rubo Yuan, deputy dean of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute. Heads from the United Front Work Department of the Party Committee and the Faculty Affairs Office of the CPC Henan University Committee, as well as representatives of teachers and students from the School of Fine Arts were also present at the opening ceremony.

Keping Lu and Zhenqian Zhao jointly unveiled the Painting and Calligraphy Institute of Henan University, accompanied by enthusiastic applause. Keping Lu announced that the Spring Exhibition of Calligraphy and Painting of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute was officially opened.
