On February 26, Sponsored by the Henan Provincial Student Sports Federation and organized by Henan University, the 29^th Henan "Huaguang" Sports Basketball Competition for College Students and the 1^st National Student (Youth) Sport Games (Campus Group) Trials came to an end in Minglun Campus.

In the competition, students from Henan University won first place in the Men's Basketball Group C and second place in the Women's Basketball Group C. The men's and women's basketball teams have been qualified for the Division One of the 25^th China University Basketball Association (CUBA) (Northwest Regions) in 2023. Based on the original men's basketball team, Lei Si and Xiaobo Guo, the main coaches, formed a representative college team in Henan to participate in the 1^st National Student (Youth) Sport Games (Campus Group) Trials.
