Recently, the 2020 RoboCom World Robot Developer Competition was concluded. Two teams from Experimental Class of the Arts and Sciences, School of Fine Arts , both acquired the 3rd Prizes and received Certificates of Honor presented by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MITT) and RoboCom International Committee.

Below are interpretations of two distinct works of art from two respective teams:
The work of art by one team is created based on a series of historic paintings entitled The Playing Children by Su Hanchen, a painter in Northern Song Dynasty. Combined with modern painting features, this team’s painting vividly represents some playing scenes of children that time in digital form and displays a rich spiritual life of the people in Northern Song Dynasty.
The painting by the other team is inspired by a painting entitled Painting of Meeting an Old Friend in Qiu Xuan Hut. It breaks from tradition of two-dimensional Chinese painting and brings about the three-dimensional immersive experiences. One margin of the painting represents the scene of two people meeting in Qiu Xuan Hut, while the foreground is the magnificent scenery, that is, towering mountain, long river and deep and serene valley, which combine to highlight the tranquility and serenity during their meeting.
In last October, School of Fine Arts set up the the first Experimental Class of the Arts and Sciences. The class, conducted with the aid of modern digital technology, is characterized by an integration of interdisciplinary teaching and academic research, aiming to foster students' awareness of scientific innovation and strengthen their creativity, thus actively explore the new mode of art and design talents training.
