January 6, the opening ceremony of the Bioarchaeology Laboratory, which is jointly built by Henan University and Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage, was held in Jinming Campus of Henan University. Officials from Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage, School of Archaeology of Jilin University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Henan Museum, Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Heritage, together with students and teachers of Henan University, witnessed this important moment.
LU Keping, the Party Secretary of CPC of Henan University, pointed out that the Bioarchaeology Laboratory will effectively promote the interdisciplinary development of biology, archaeology, medicine, sports and other, further enhance the research of ancient human and paleontological research, form the aggregation effect and siphon effect, and promote the archaeological work of Henan province to achieve new breakthroughs in the new period.
TIAN Kai, Director of Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage, presented the joint establishment of the Bioarcheology Laboratory by HENU and Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage will fully explore the bioarcheology information in Henan Province, better understand the long-standing and profound Chinese civilization, and actively promote the "Double First-Class" construction of Henan University.
The laboratory will bring together the advantageous resources of Henan University and Henan Province to develop the discipline of archaeology, and will certainly achieve fruitful results and make important contributions to the development of Chinese archaeology.
