Recently, the Ministry of Education (MOE) of People’s Republic of China (PRC) announced the winners list of the 8th Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements (humanities and social sciences) by researchers and scholars in colleges and universities. Five HENU professors were awarded, among which four for outstanding monograph and paper and one for outstanding youth achievement.

The above mentioned award was set up by MOE to reward researchers or scholars in colleges and universities who produced outstanding scientific research achievements in humanities and social sciences. MOE evaluates the achievements submitted by colleges and universities across the country once every three years, and this is the eighth time. Due to its strict and fair procedures, this award possesses high credibility in public, and the awarded achievements also have great social impacts. It is also known as the highest award in the field of philosophy and social science research.
