The National Office of Philosophy and Social Science announced the 2020 list of key projects of the National Social Science Foundation on December 3rd. Three more key projects from HENU were approved, namely: Weng Youwei's Research on Provincial Reform and Social Change in Modern China (Project No. 20&ZD232), Zhan Long's Research on Disasters and State Governance Capacity Building in Chinese History (Project No. 20&ZD225) and Wu Xinjun's History of Cross-Media Communication in Contemporary Chinese Literature (1949-2009) (Project No. 20&ZD286).

Key project is the top level National Social Science Foundation of China (NSFC) project with the largest funding support and the highest authority, showing great significance in guidance, authority and demonstration.
